Strong Thailand performance by MTU players

A strong showing from MTU players helped Thailand to a 2-1 victory in their opening AFF Suzuki Cup game against the Philippines yesterday, though the national side should have made the victory far more comfortable after dominating the middle of the park and the match as a whole.

Kawin, Panupong, Datsakorn, Pitchipong, Pornsai, Buntao and of course Teerasil all played. Pitchipong was the only player who mighht want to feel disappointed with his overall game. Pornsai scored a nice goal to put his nation ahead.

Interest in the AFF SC has grown this year and a strong showing from Thailand and MTU players would benefit football in Thailand for certain.
