Following on from our excellent win away to BG at the weekend in the TPL came our 1-2 1st leg home defeat yesterday against TOT in the Toyota Cup. Kawin, Piyachart, Mario and others were rested but there was still a strong core team against the fake local rivals and it was terrifying how often the three-pronged TOT attack beat the offside trap and found masses of space. We gave the ball away too often in our own half and looked jaded for long periods. A string of substitutions helped us long stronger towards the end but TOT had a perfectly legal goal disallowed for offside but then won a penalty later that they converted.
The silver lining in this defeat is that we can make amends in the second leg. I honestly wouldn't class it as a defeat, it's only half time.
