MTU travel to Hanoi, the charming capital of Vietnam, tomorrow to prepare to face Hanoi T&T on Tuesday in their penultimate AFC group stage game. The Quilins turned over the republic's champions with relative ease in the reverse fixture (report here ) and  with great respect to the hosts, I hope we will rest at least a couple of key players for this game now that our progress is all but assured.

Rene Desaeyere is now confirmed as coach of Suphanburi FC, owned by the son of former PM Banharn Silipha-Archa. Robert Procurer was approached to take temporary charge of the side during their search for a coach which suggests relations between the two sides are good, which in turn suggests Rene is perhaps still close with MTU. That must be good news for fans of either side. Like him or not, Rene knows his football and games are rarely dull when he's involved in any way!

The OS has a good interview with Henrique here.
