Trying to dispel a rumor is like trying to un-spread butter. The butter in question today is Rene's reported salary of 500,000 bt per month for the task of managing Chiang Mai FC. Apparently this sum was thrown out by someone at the club during a press conference and the figure has spread like wildfire amongst fans.
I've been reliably informed the true remuneration is considerably lower. Perhaps when Rene leads the 'Lions' to success - and he's certainly got the credentials to do that - he'll get a big fat bonus, but for now he's on a more modest sum. I doubt he's going to be going hungry any time soon, though.
